Terms of use

Last updated 23 October 2026

By signing in to iStar you agree to these terms. If you are a child, please read them with a parent.

Using iStar

  • iStar is for practising Maths, Science and English. Use it for learning, not to disrupt it for others.
  • Sign in with your own Google account, and keep it to yourself. Don't use someone else's.
  • Choose a name and avatar that are kind. Other students can see them on the League page.
  • Don't try to break, overload or get around how iStar works, including how stars are earned.

Stars and the shop

  • Stars are a reward for practising. They have no money value and can't be exchanged for money.
  • Buying something in the shop spends stars and gives a receipt. The screen time or treat itself comes from a parent, who decides how and when.
  • If a purchase wasn't received, a student can ask for the stars back within 24 hours.
  • We may change prices, items or how stars are earned, for example to keep them fair.

Content

Questions, explanations, pictures and the iStar name, logo and mascot belong to iStar or the people who made them. You may use them while practising, but not copy or republish them. Names of other products in the shop belong to their owners. We work to keep questions correct; if you find a mistake, tell us.

Accounts

We may suspend an account that breaks these terms. You can stop using iStar at any time and ask us to delete your account; see our Privacy page.

No guarantees

We provide iStar as it is. We do our best to keep it working and accurate, but can't promise it will always be available or free of mistakes, or be responsible for losses from using it, as far as the law allows.

Changes and contact

We may update these terms and will change the date at the top when we do. Questions: contact@istar.fun.
